Shay Mitchell is Canadian actress,model and businesswoman. Her most famous role is Emily Fields on the Freeform show Pretty Little Liars. After achieving great results in dance and modelling, she wanted to try acting and started taking classes in acting in Toronto. Mitchell was cast in guest roles and commercials prior to getting the major break. Her performance was well-received for her talent by critics as well the viewers. The mother of Shay Mitchell was from the Philippines, whereas her father had Irish and Scottish ancestry. Mitchell has a strong relationship with Lea Salonga. She is an actress, singer and musical theater actor. Mitchell attended Rockridge Secondary, before switching to West Vancouver Secondary. By the time she reached her teenage years she was already modeling for various corporations across the world. She traveled to Barcelona as well as Bangkok after which she returned to Toronto for a course in acting.
