Anita Barone

Anita Barone, a stage actor with a variety of abilities, mainly associated with sitcoms in TV and got the most coveted opportunity to shine as Jeff Foxworthy's wife on the ABC show "The Jeff Foxworthy Show" which aired for one season in 1995 until 1996. Barone performed on stage for the first time when she was 5 years old in Detroit when her family moved to the city from St Louis. When she was 23, Barone appeared in 50 shows. Most of them were at regional or university theaters. The stage roles she played included Juliet as Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet," Helen Keller in a stage production from "Monday after the Miracle" as well as the lead part of Agnes an innocent nun on the stage in "Agnes of the Gods." Her debut on screen came in the form of a small part in "The Rozary Murders" as well as a small role in "Ricochet" along with leading in the romantic indie comedy "Just Friends" which premiered in 1996. Barone got her first recognizable Hollywood role as part of Carol & Company (NBC, 1990-1991) The ill-fated effort to be a part of Carol Burnett in trying to revitalize the comedy sketch program. Barone also starred in the"Wounded Heart" USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". In the end, she got back to her daily sitcoms, appearing alongside Michael Chiklis in "Daddio" (NBC, 2000).
